Privacy Policy

Effective August 25, 2026 — Last Revised August 25, 2026

Supersedes the policy dated July 13, 2026

In short

We collect what we need to show you restaurant deals near you: your account details, your home state, and what you save or search for. We use your location to find nearby restaurants and then discard it. We do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising, and we run no advertising trackers. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time, from the app or the website.

This summary is for convenience only. The terms below govern.

1. Scope

1.1DealsonMeals LLC (“DealsonMeals,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a service that helps people find restaurant deals and promotions in the United States. This Privacy Policy describes the personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.

1.2This Policy applies to our website at dealsonmeals.app (the “Site”) and to the DealsonMeals mobile application for iOS and Android (the “App”). The Site and the App are referred to together as the “Services.” They share one account system, so most practices described here apply to both. Where a practice applies to only one, this Policy marks it App only or Site only.

1.3The Services are offered only in the United States and are intended only for users located in the United States.

1.4By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Information You Provide

2.1Account information. To create an account, you provide an email address and choose a password, or you sign in using Apple or Google. We never store your password in readable form.

2.2Information from sign-in providers.If you sign in with Apple or Google, that provider sends us your email address and, where available, your name and profile picture. We do not receive your password or any other information held by that provider. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email feature, we receive a relay address rather than your personal one.

2.3Profile information. After you create an account, we ask you to provide your first and last name, your home state, your date of birth, and how you heard about DealsonMeals (with an optional free-text field). Your home state determines which deals you see. Your date of birth is used to send you birthday offers and to confirm that you meet the minimum age in Section 13. We do not collect telephone numbers.

2.4Activity and preferences. When you save a deal, favorite a restaurant, or vote on a deal, we record that action together with your account, including any optional comment you write.

2.5Submitted content. If you submit a deal, we collect the information you enter, together with your account. Submissions are reviewed before publication. Do not include personal information about yourself or anyone else in a submission.

2.6Communications. If you contact us, we collect the information in your message and retain it as needed to respond and to keep a record of the correspondence.

3. Information Collected Automatically

3.1Connection information. When you use the Services, we and our service providers receive your IP address and standard device and browser information as a necessary part of delivering them. We also use IP addresses to protect the Services against abuse.

3.2Information stored on your device. Certain information is stored only on your device — your signed-in session, your saved and hidden items, your notification and display preferences, your recent searches, and your home state. Your recent searches in the App are never transmitted to us. Site only The Site uses cookies solely to keep you signed in; it sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

3.3Installed applications. App only So that a deal can open in the relevant restaurant’s own app, the App checks on your device whether that restaurant’s app is installed. This check happens entirely on your device, and its result is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.

4. Location Information

4.1Sharing your location is optional. We do not collect your location unless you grant permission, and we never collect it while the Services are closed or running in the background. You can withdraw permission at any time in your device or browser settings; the Services remain usable without it, scoped to the state on your profile.

4.2How we use it. When you ask for nearby deals or open the map, your coordinates are used to identify restaurant locations near you. For that purpose they are shared with our mapping providers — Apple, and Google where needed — who handle them under their own privacy policies.

4.3What we retain. We do not store your coordinates in association with your account, and we do not use them to build a record of your movements. Only your two-letter state, derived from your location, is kept on your device (for up to twenty-four hours) to scope the deals you see. Site only You may instead enter a zip code to choose your state; it is converted to a state entirely on your device and is never sent to us.

5. Push Notifications

5.1App onlyIf you enable notifications, your device is issued a push token, which we store so we can send you messages. We send notifications about new and expiring deals, birthday offers, and service announcements. You control these categories in the App’s settings and can disable notifications entirely in your device settings.

5.2You may enable notifications without an account. In that case we store the push token by itself, with no account attached, and can send you only nationwide messages. If you later create an account, the token is linked to it.

5.3Notifications are delivered through Apple’s and Google’s notification services, as applicable to your device.

6. Analytics

6.1App only We collect analytics about how the App is used — screens visited, actions taken, and searches performed — associated with your account identifier so we can understand usage over time and find problems. We do not share your name or email address with our analytics provider. These records are deleted after thirty days.

6.2Site only The Site uses cookieless, aggregate analytics that count page views, referrers, countries, and device types. They set no cookies, are not linked to your account, and do not follow you across other websites.

6.3We do not record your screen or your session. We use no advertising software development kits, we do not access your device’s advertising identifier, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

7. How We Use Information

7.1We use the information described above to:

  • create and maintain your account and keep you signed in;
  • show you deals relevant to your state, your location, and your preferences;
  • store your saved deals, favorites, votes, and settings;
  • send the notifications and emails you have not turned off;
  • review and publish submitted content;
  • understand how the Services are used and improve them;
  • protect the Services against abuse, fraud, and technical failure; and
  • respond to you, and comply with law.

7.2We do not use your information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and we do not use it for profiling in furtherance of such decisions.

8. Service Providers

8.1We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the Services — for hosting and data storage, authentication, content delivery, mapping and geocoding (Apple, and Google where needed), analytics, push-notification delivery, and email delivery. Each provider receives only the information it needs to perform its function and is permitted to process it only on our behalf, not for its own purposes.

9. Disclosure of Information

9.1We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

9.2Apart from the service providers described in Section 8, we disclose personal information only: where you direct us to; where required by law, legal process, or a governmental request; where necessary to investigate suspected fraud or abuse, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of DealsonMeals, our users, or the public; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this Policy or give you notice and a choice before your information becomes subject to a different one.

10. Retention

10.1We keep your account information, profile, activity, and submitted content for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all of it is deleted immediately, as described in Section 11.1.

10.2Analytics records are deleted after thirty days. Abuse-prevention records and routine server logs are retained only for short periods.

10.3We may retain information for longer where required by law or where necessary to resolve a dispute or enforce our agreements.

11. Your Rights and Choices

11.1Deletion. You may delete your account at any time from the settings screen in the App or from your account settings on the Site. Deletion is immediate and permanent. It removes your profile, saved deals, favorites, votes, submitted deals, notification tokens, and sign-in credentials. It cannot be undone. If deletion fails for a technical reason, write to us and we will delete the account for you.

11.2Correction. You may correct your name, home state, date of birth, avatar, and preferences at any time in your profile settings.

11.3Email. Creating an account subscribes you to our deal newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by turning off email in your settings. We will still send you messages necessary to operate your account, such as password resets.

11.4Access, portability, and other requests. To request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion of information not covered by Section 11.1, contact us as described in Section 15. We will verify your request against the email address on your account before acting on it, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

11.5Location and notifications.You may grant or withdraw location permission and turn notifications on or off at any time in your device or browser settings, and in the App’s settings.

12. United States State Privacy Rights

12.1Residents of California and of other states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Virginia — have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to obtain a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Sections 2 through 10 describe the categories we collect, the sources, the purposes, and the recipients. Section 11 describes how to exercise these rights.

12.2Because we neither sell personal information nor share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and because we do not engage in targeted advertising or profiling of the kind these laws restrict, there is no opt-out for you to exercise. We honor browser opt-out preference signals by default as a consequence.

12.3We do not collect or process sensitive personal information as defined by these laws for any purpose other than providing the Services you have requested.

12.4You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof of authorization and may require you to verify your identity directly.

13. Children’s Privacy

13.1The Services are not directed to children under thirteen, and you may not create an account unless you are at least thirteen years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen.

13.2If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under thirteen has provided us with personal information, contact us as described in Section 15 and we will delete it.

14. Security

14.1We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15. Changes and Contact

15.1We may update this Policy. When we do, we will revise the dates at the top of this page. If we make a material change to how we handle personal information, we will give notice through the Services before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Services after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
