Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 22, 2026 — Last Revised: July 13, 2026

Welcome to DealsonMeals LLC (“DealsonMeals,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit and use our website at dealsonmeals.app (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account, complete your profile, or otherwise interact with the Site, you may provide us with information such as:

  • Account and profile information: When you register using a third-party authentication provider or email and password, we collect the information necessary to create and manage your account, which may include your name, email address, date of birth, state, and display preferences. Providing a phone number is optional; if you choose to provide one, we may use it in the future to send you text-message communications (such as deal alerts), and only where you have consented to receive them.
  • User activity and preferences: When you interact with deals and restaurants on the Site — such as saving, voting, providing feedback, or marking favorites — we store those preferences in connection with your account.
  • User-submitted content: If you submit a deal or other content through the Site, we collect the information included in your submission, such as restaurant name, deal details, and any supporting links.
  • Communications: If you contact us through our contact form or other channels, we collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and message content.
  • Newsletter preferences: If you opt in to receive email communications from us, we store your subscription preference in connection with your account.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information may be collected automatically:

  • Location data: We do not automatically detect your precise location. Location sharing is entirely opt-in — you may provide it through your browser’s geolocation feature or by entering a zip code. Certain features that rely on your precise location, such as finding deals near you and the interactive map, require you to be signed in to an account. When you share your precise location, your GPS coordinates are used to determine your general area and to identify nearby restaurants, and they are sent to our mapping provider (Mapbox) to convert them into a place name and to display the map. Your precise GPS coordinates are not stored on our servers; only your two-letter state and a location label are cached locally in your browser (for up to 24 hours) to personalize your experience.
  • Usage and analytics data: When you visit the Site, our hosting and analytics providers automatically collect standard usage data such as your IP address (which indicates your approximate, city-level location), pages visited, session duration, referral source, device type, and browser information. These tools may use cookies or similar technologies to distinguish users and track sessions.
  • Cookies and local storage: The Site uses cookies set by our service providers for authentication and analytics purposes. We also use your browser’s local storage to persist certain preferences and settings across visits.

2. How We Use Your Information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, personalize, and improve the Site and its features
  • Display deals and content relevant to your location and preferences
  • Create and manage your user account
  • Store your preferences, saved items, and activity
  • Send you email communications, including newsletters, if you have opted in
  • Review and process user-submitted content
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve the Site
  • Respond to your inquiries and communications
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Site

3. Third-Party Services

We use third-party service providers to help operate and improve the Site. These providers may receive or process your data in connection with the services they provide to us, including but not limited to:

  • Hosting and infrastructure: We use third-party providers to host the Site and deliver content.
  • Database and authentication: User accounts, preferences, and activity are stored using a third-party database and authentication platform.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics): We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used. Google may set cookies and process usage data (including your IP address) in accordance with its own privacy policy. You can opt out across all sites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Maps and geocoding (Mapbox): When you enter a zip code, or when you share your precise location for nearby deals or the map, your query or GPS coordinates are sent to Mapbox to determine the corresponding place and to display the interactive map.
  • Email delivery: If you have opted in to email communications, we use a third-party email service provider to send newsletters and other messages.
  • Image hosting: Deal and restaurant images may be served through a third-party image hosting service.
  • Contact form processing: Messages submitted through our contact form may be processed by a third-party form provider.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Other than the analytics and service providers described above, we do not currently share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy before doing so.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

The Site uses cookies and browser local storage to support core functionality:

  • Authentication cookies: Used to maintain your login session if you have an account.
  • Analytics cookies: Used by Google Analytics to distinguish users and track browsing sessions.
  • Local storage: Used to persist user preferences, saved items, and location settings locally in your browser. This data is stored on your device and is not transmitted to our servers independently of your use of the Site.

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of the Site, including staying logged in.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information, preferences, activity, and submitted content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. Cached data may be retained to improve site performance and may be periodically cleared. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider’s default retention settings. When you delete your account, your personal information is permanently removed immediately, except where we are required to retain it by law.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Account deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings. Deletion is immediate and removes your profile, saved deals, votes, and sign-in information. This action cannot be undone.
  • Email communications: If you have opted in to receive email communications, you may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in each email or by updating your account preferences.
  • Analytics opt-out: You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by adjusting your browser’s cookie settings.
  • Cookie and storage controls: You can manage or disable cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings.

7. Your State Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws — such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar laws in states like Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah. These may include the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to access or delete it, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some analytics providers (such as Google Analytics) may use cookies in ways that certain state laws treat as “sharing” for cross-context advertising; you can limit this at any time using the opt-out tools described above or your browser’s cookie controls. You can exercise your rights — including accessing or deleting your data — from your account settings or by contacting us through our contact page. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including the use of access controls and secure authentication systems. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us through our contact page and we will take steps to remove that information.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” and “Last Revised” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
